It's the fans, not the bands
I LOVE DC and Chris Carrabba and was thrilled they decided to tour again. The culture at their concerts have always been a unique and inclusive experience for die hard fans. The only reason I am not giving this event less stars is my love of DC.
DC went on first and had such great energy, tragically, the In To America fans we were surrounded by decided to yell at each other over the music the ENTIRE time. (You know it's bad when you're at a Rock Concert, and you can't focus on the music because the people around you are too loud.) They were mocking the band, and had no regard for the DC fans in the audience who just craved that sing-along interactive experience that Dashboard shows are famous for. It soured the entire concert and by the time 3EB did take that stage, most of their fans were too drunk to stand anyway, and we left early so as not be to trampled. My party and I moved 3 times, and each time we were met with the same type of rude behavior. One spot was so awful the man was literally yelling in my ear and I had to be 'that' person and ask him to move so I wouldn't go deaf. Then they got drunk, and it was game over. Do I expect drinking and noise at a rock concert? Hell yeah. But the fans at least in Minneapolis took it way too far. I look forward to the day DC goes out on their own again, I will bide my time and money until then.
